Ravinia Capital is a boutique investment bank serving middle-market companies with enterprise values of $10–200 million. Our work spans sell-side M&A, debt and equity placement, corporate restructuring, and special situations.
We are adding a VP or Associate to work directly with our Managing Partner on active capital raises and restructuring mandates. This is real deal work — not research coverage, not pitch support. You will structure transactions, build financial models that drive decisions, and interact with lenders, investors, and professional counterparties.
Current assignments include a $150M+ real estate development capital raise (debt and equity), a distressed food manufacturer requiring a sale. You need to be comfortable across these situations from day one.
This starts as a project-based engagement with meaningful upside tied to deal outcomes, including bonus compensation on successful deal closings. The right person will move into a permanent role.
What You Will Do
• Structure and execute debt and equity capital raises — determine right capital amounts, identify optimal providers, build lender/investor materials
• Lead or co-lead restructuring engagements including DIP financing, 363 sales, and sales of private business's
• Build and own integrated financial models, 13-week cash flows, debt capacity analyses, and capital structure scenarios
• Interact directly with lenders, equity investors, attorneys, turnaround consultants, and other deal professionals
• Manage deal workstreams, coordinate with junior team members (analysts, interns), and deliver client-ready materials
• Support sell-side M&A processes including buyer outreach, data room management, and IOI/LOI analysis
What We Need
• 2+ years in investment banking, restructuring, or capital markets (not corporate finance, not commercial lending)
• Direct experience structuring and placing debt and/or equity for middle-market companies
• Working knowledge of distressed situations: DIP financing, Chapter 11 mechanics, turnaround processes
• Comfortable representing the firm to sophisticated counterparties (lenders, PE firms, attorneys, courts)
• Strong communication and business writing — every deliverable reflects on our firm
• Real estate development financing experience is a significant plus
• BA/BS required; MBA or CFA preferred but not required if you have the deal experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
Compensation
Project-based monthly compensation plus bonus compensation on successful deal closings. We invest in people who deliver.
